Wind Phone is made and paid for by one person, not a company or a charity. There is no team behind this address and no support desk. What there is, is an inbox that gets read.
Things worth writing about
A Wind Phone that isn't on the map. The directory only lists phones that can be verified, so send the location and something public that confirms it: a news piece, a park or council page, the garden's own site. Coordinates or a dropped map pin help more than an address does, because these things usually stand at the end of a path rather than at a street number.
Something on the map is wrong. Phones get moved, gardens close, a pin sits fifty metres off in the wrong field. Every entry carries the date it was last checked; if you have stood at one recently and it has changed, that is worth more than any source I can find from here.
Something in the writing is wrong. Factual corrections to the reading are welcome, including small ones. If a piece gets a detail of the history in Ōtsuchi wrong, or describes a kind of loss in a way that does not match what it is actually like, say so.
Reuse and permission. Quote a line or two with a link back and there is nothing to ask. Republishing a whole piece, or including this writing in a training set, needs asking first. The site's Content-Signal declaration says the same thing to crawlers.
Removal. If you own a Wind Phone listed in the directory and would rather it were not public, say so and it comes down. No reason needed.
Press and interviews. Fine, though the story that matters is Itaru Sasaki's rather than this website's, and that one is already written down.

Nothing said on the phone itself reaches this inbox, or anywhere else. There is no microphone and no recording; the privacy page sets out exactly what that means. If you want someone to know what you said, you will have to tell them yourself.
About the site
Wind Phone is an independent site, built in 2026 and run since by one person. I made it in memory of my mom. It takes no funding, sells nothing, and has no relationship with the garden in Ōtsuchi or with Itaru Sasaki, whose phone came first and made every other one possible.
